About Deckwren

Last updated: November 3, 2026

Deckwren makes traditional card games for Android phones: the games people learned at a kitchen table, played against the computer when there is no one to play with.

The first is Kings in the Corner. More of the old family games will follow, one app each, so every app stays small and does one game well.

What we hold to

  • The rules as people play them. Each game’s rules are written out in full in the app, and the common house rules are switches in Settings, never hidden changes.
  • A fair computer. A computer player is handed its own cards and the table, and nothing else, so it can never peek at yours or at the stock.
  • Easy on the eyes. Large cards, colour never the only sign of anything, and every control named for a screen reader.
  • No account, no tracking. The games keep your settings and statistics on your phone. The privacy page says what is kept and where.

Who answers your mail

June Hollis answers Deckwren’s mail. A small team makes the games, and June passes on every rule question, bug report and idea to the person who can act on it.

Deckwren makes its own versions of traditional games, with its own cards, rules text and computer players. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Goliath, which sells a Kings in the Corner board game, or by any other maker of a game we play.
